Kakao to increase stake in internet bank unit to 34%

Kakao Corp, the operator of South Korean messenger app Kakao Talk, has received approval from the country's financial regulator to increase its stake in internet-only bank Kakao Bank, Yonhap news agency reports. Kakao can now up its stake in Kakao Bank to 34 percent from the current 18 percent.
