Kakao to launch piccomaTV video streaming service this summer

Kakao Japan, operator of Japanese manga app piccoma, has announced plans to launch a video streaming service dubbed 'piccomaTV' this summer. Kakao Japan's CEO Kim Jae-yong has also announced that the company saw JPY 824 million in quarterly revenue, which represents a 446 percent increase year-on-year. The number of piccoma's monthly active users hit an all-time high at 2.9 million as of the end of March this year, the company executive added.
