Kakao turns to profit in Q3, revenue grows 4%

South Korean mobile messaging services provider Kakao (former Daum Kakao) reported third-quarter revenue of KRW 229.6 billion, up 4 percent year-on-year. The mobile businesses accounted for 56 percent of total revenues in the period. Daum Kakao posted a third-quarter net profit of KRW 14.7 billion, compared to a net loss of KRW 6.3 billion in the third quarter of 2014.
