Kaspersky cuts links with Europol following EU vote

Kaspersky Lab announced that it's cutting its ties with Europol after the European Parliament passed a resolution describing the security company's software as "malicious" and calling for it to be banned. The European Parliament's measure, which passed by 476 votes to 151, was part of its wider strategy for a joint European Union cybersecurity defence. The resolution called on EU agencies to "perform a comprehensive review... in order to exclude potentially dangerous programmes and devices, and to ban the ones that have been confirmed as malicious, such as Kaspersky Lab".
