Kazakhstan mobile operators Kcell, Beeline Kazakhstan and Tele2 Kazakhstan have signed a tripartite cooperation agreement on network sharing. The operators plan to cooperate on network infrastructure in order to improve coverage in villages and along motorways and railway lines.
The companies will deploy their infrastructure on their own and will provide other operators access.
Beeline Kazakhstan will be responsible for the deployment of 35 percent of the infrastructure. Kcell and Tele2 Kazakhstan, which are both controlled by the national operator Kazakhtelecom, will take responsibility for the deployment of 65 percent of the infrastructure.
