KCB-M-Pesa runs Weka Weka campaign to encourage savings on mobile platform

The Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has begun a financial literacy initiative to drive up savings, under the name Weka Weka. The KCB M-Pesa campaign will also enable customers to raise their mobile banking borrowing limits. KCB M-Pesa has a Target Savings Account that allows customer to save for a forthcoming project, with an interest rate on savings of 6.3 percent per annum.
