KDDI, MobiCom, TIP launch 5G interoperability trial in Japan and Mongolia

KDDI, KDDI Research, MobiCom, and the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) have launched an interoperability trial spanning Japan and Mongolia. The trial partners plan to evaluate the potential of an open and disaggregated approach, enabling multiple combinations of hardware and software makers, for 5G network deployment.
