KDDI, Okinawa Cellular launch 'au 5G' service in Japan

Japanese operators KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will launch their 'au 5G' service in some areas of 15 prefectures. The au 5G service is expected to expand to all major cities across Japan starting from summer this year. KDDI and Okinawa plans to expand the au 5G service to 10,000 stations by March 2021, and to more than 20,000 stations by March 2022.
