KDDI to slash mobile rates by 40%, expand tariff plan offering

Back in April, market rival NTT Docomo also announced plans to cut its mobile phone charges by up to 40 percent starting in June. Docomo plans to offer two basic service plans, available for monthly fees of JPY 5,980 for unlimited data and JPY 1,980 for limited data.
