
KDG ends Q3 with 1.27 million internet, phone subscribers

German cable network operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has reported revenue of EUR 405.3 million for its third quarter ending 31 December 2010, up 7 percent from EUR 378.8 million a year earlier. The number of internet and phone subscribers grew by 23.7 percent or 244,000 year-on-year to reach 1.27 million at end-December. During Q3, KDG added 63,700 internet and phone subscribers, compared to 58,200 and 54,500 additions in the quarters ending June and September 2010 respectively. Phone and internet additions in the year-earlier third quarter were 62,200. In the 12 months ending 31 December 2010, the number of premium TV RGUs grew by 17.6 percent or 183,300 to 1.22 million, up from 98,600 a year earlier. Total blended monthly ARPU per subscriber for Q3 was EUR 13.32, up 8.3 percent from EUR 12.30 a year earlier. KDG generated adjusted EBITDA of EUR 185.2 million in Q3, up 12.6 percent from EUR 164.5 million a year earlier. For the nine months, revenue was up 6.9 percent to EUR 1.19 billion, from EUR 1.11 billion a year earlier, with nine-month adjusted EBITDA up 11.1 percent to EUR 540.4 million, from EUR 486.3 million.
