Kenya film board bans DStv children's shows for gay themes

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has banned several children programmes on the pay television services DSTV and GOTV that are said to promote homosexuality. KFCB chief executive officer Ezekiel Mutua said that over the last couple of weeks, it had received complaints from people of content glorifying homosexual behaviour, contrary to the law and the KFCB guidelines. Mutua says most of these programmes target vulnerable children with subtle messages that are deliberately designed to corrupt their moral judgement regarding the institution of the family.
