Kenya mobile subscribers still growing in Q3, mobile money segment contracts

The number of mobile subscribers in Kenya rose to 53.2 million in September, up 1.9 percent from three months earlier and equal to a penetration of 112 percent, the latest report from the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) shows. Internet subscribers increased by 4.1 percent over the same period to over 52 million, of which more than 99 percent were on mobile networks.
