Kenyan broadcasters must apply 60% local content quota

The Kenya Film Commission has increased the local content quota for television stations from 40 percent to 60 percent, and those who do not stick this face the risk of closure, Nextvame reported. Commission CEO, Lizzie Chongoti said that it is working with the Kenya Film Classification Board and Communication Authority of Kenya to ensure that local TV stations adhere to the policy.
