Kenyan govt to invest USD 59 mln to connect to DARE cable system

Kenya plans to invest USD 59 million to deploy an extension of the Djibouti Africa Regional Express (DARE) and thus increase its data capabilities, Ecofin reported. Robert Mugo, director of shared services at the Communications Authority, said these new investments show the government's ambition to boost Kenya's position as a regional IT centre.
