Kenyan mobile phone market grows 15% in Q4, shrinks 2% in 2020

Kenya's overall mobile phone market grew 15.0 percent quarter on quarter (QoQ) in Q4 2020, with smartphone shipments increasing 11.3 percent and feature phone shipments up 20.8 percent, according to IDC. Its study found that the overall market declined 2.0 percent year on year in 2020. Feature phone shipments fell by 8.7 percent year on year in 2020 as a whole but smartphone shipments grew 3.3 percent.
