Kenyan regulator reviews mobile termination rate

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) is set to reduce mobile interconnection charges, Business Daily reported customers, signaling lower call tariffs, Business Daily reported. The regulator said time was ripe to review the mobile termination rate (MTR) to match shifts in technology. Changes in the market as well as the macroeconomic environment over time mean it now wishes to carry out a review of interconnection rates using benchmarking technology, the CA said.
