Kobo unveils new e-readers, Android tablet
Kobo unveiled a new lineup of e-readers, including the Kobo Glo, Kobo Mini and Kobo Arc tablet. Available this fall at select retailers, the range starts with the Kobo Mini for USD 79.99, which Kobo claims is the world's smallest e-reader with just a 5-inch screen. It features an E Ink screen, can store up to 1,000 books and comes with three different colours of snap-on back covers. The Kobo Glo costs USD 129.99 and comes with ComfortLight technology to support reading at night. The 6-inch reader comes in a range of colours. The Kobo Arc is a 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 and will be available for USD 199.99 with 8G storage and USD 249.99 for 16G. Its interface Tapestries builds recommended content for users; as they 'pin' things they like, the tablet learns to propose similar content. The Kobo Arc runs a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and includes a front-facing camera.

Italian multimedia group Mondadori announced the arrival of the new Kobo Arc to the country. The Android tablet with a 7-inch display is available on the web site for reservation from 23 November and from 24 November, in 60 Mondadori bookstores.

Fnac starts taking orders for Kobo Glo e-book

French consumer electronics and cultural products retailer Fnac has started taking orders for the new Kobo Glo e-reader in black, silver, red and blue ahead of its release in the middle of October.
