Konrad Adenauer Stiftung recommends sanctions as option to halt cyber crimes

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, the political party foundation associated with the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), said in an analysis on the impact of Covid-19 in terms of cyber crime and state-sponsored political activities that governments should respond to cyber attacks from other states by imposing political and economic sanctions. Alternatively, governments should bring legal charges to isolate and stigmatise the aggressor with the goal of changing their behaviour in the long term, it added.
