Korea suspends Apple probe, company applies for consent decree

South Korea's Fair Trade Commission (FTC) has announced that its investigation on Apple Korea for possible abuse of power has been temporarily suspended as the company applied for a consent decree. Apple Korea has also voluntarily proposed corrective measures to restore market order and make up for consumer damages, local newspaper Pulse reports. The Commission is investigating Apple Korea for charging advertising and free repair service costs to mobile operators SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus.
