Korea to invest KRW 240 bln in semiconductor sector in next 10 years

The government plans to accelerate verification and testing of the performance of new chips so they can reach the market more quickly. The South Korean government also plans to help medium fabless companies access research equipment, as domestic fabless companies currently have no semiconductor foundry of their own and limit themselves to designing and marketing semiconductor parts.
