Korean operators seek tax reduction for expansion of 5G networks - report

South Korean operators SK, KT and Uplus plan to ask for increased tax reductions from the government for 5G infrastructure deployments. Top executives from the three operators will meet with Science Minister Choi Ki-young to discuss this proposal on 15 July in Seoul, The Korea Times reports, citing unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter. Specifically, the three operators are seeking temporary investment tax credits of up to 10 percent for their 5G investments, the sources added.
