KPN Belgium developing bargain TV, internet services

Thursday 11 October 2012 | 11:24 CET | News
KPN Group Belgium wants to position itself as a bargain provider in the market for digital TV and broadband internet, Jos Donvil told De Tijd. The chief of KPN Group Belgium did not specify when these services could launch. The company is reportedly conducting trials on how to best organise its digital TV offerings. Donvil said these will in any case not mimic those of Telenet and Belgacom. KPN Group Belgium and Belgacom recently signed a five-year VDSL2 contract. It is not clear how the contract will concern television services. KPN/Base sold its fixed network operations to Mobistar in 2010.
