KPN CEO Ibarra wants FTTH in all big cities and Powered by KPN for all households

KPN has its eye on all of the major cities in the Netherlands for its rollout of FTTH. In his keynote speech at the FTTH Conference in Amsterdam, KPN CEO Maximo Ibarra reiterated the company's renewed interest in deploying fibre. Over the next three years, KPN will increase its total homes passed by 1 million. The aim is to have 40 percent of Dutch households connected by 2021. By then, KPN wants to be "5G ready" with an all-IP network.
