KPN CEO says E-Plus, O2 network sharing 'makes sense'

Friday 16 November 2012 | 11:26 CET | News
KPN CEO Eelco Blok said that a network sharing deal between KPN's German subsidiary E-Plus and Telefonica Germany's O2 division 'would be beneficial' for both companies, reports Dow Jones Newswires. Speaking at the Morgan Stanley technology, media and telecom conference in Barcelona, Blok said that it was unlikely that America Movil, which holds around 28 percent of KPN, would block any deal with O2 in Germany. Speaking at the same conference, Telefonica's financial and corporate development chief Angel Vila said the company was looking at network sharing, but declined to name markets.
