KPN CEO wants to shop in Germany, not in Belgium

Tuesday 4 October 2011 | 09:30 CET | News
KPN chief executive Eelco Blok wants to make acquisitions in Germany where it operates mobile company E-Plus, Dow Jones reported. Speaking at an industry event in Brussels, Blok said he was sure in-country-consolidation would create value. The chief executive reiterated that E-Plus, the operator's cash cow, is not for sale. He also showed little interest in a merger deal with Belgacom. "I doubt that the Belgium society would allow us to do the same [as] in Germany," he said.
