KPN invests in smart intercom start-up Nello

Wednesday 19 April 2017 | 11:11 CET | News
KPN Ventures announced a new investment in Nello, a German start-up developing a 'smart' extension of intercom systems. Apartment residents can connect their intercom to Wi-Fi, so it can be controlled remotely via an app. This means friends and family, or delivery people, can be given entry even when the resident is not at home. KPN invested alongside the existing Nello shareholders HBT Holdings and KfW to raise in total EUR 1.5 million for the company. The investment is in line with KPN's plans to expand in smart home services.
