KPN, Opta talks over compliance issues falter

KPN and Dutch regulator Opta have not reached any settlement agreement covering all outstanding compliance issues. KPN said talks were conducted in a constructive atmosphere, but that it proved impossible to negotiate any terms. The compliance programme will continue, but so will all the legal proceedings: KPN is defending itself against Opta decisions and has put out all the legal stops in order to prevent Opta from disclosing any information to the public. Opta handed out a number of fines at the end of 2011 but did not disclose why, with as exception the case surrounding OT2010. The
