KPN put barricades up - America Movil CFO

KPN deliberately instigated a break with America Movil last month by demanding that the Mexican telecom company waive its right to vote, America Movil CFO Carlos Garcia Moreno told Het Financieele Dagblad. Moreno called KPN's request excessive and therefore not one to be put on the negotiating table. The Mexican group was prepared agree to some shareholders deal with KPN, but refused to compromise over the "1 share, 1 vote" concept. America Movil wants to up its stake in KPN to 27.7 percent and made an EUR 8 per share partial bid. KPN found the price to be too low and said it did not want to
