KPN sees own voluntary wholesale offer as basis for fixed network regulation proposal

KPN's voluntary wholesale access offer for the fixed network could be used as the basis of a new regulatory standard, KPN CEO Joost Farwerck said. Speaking during the presentation of Q2 results to analysts, he said that KPN appreciates regulation and understands the need for a supervisor, but the regulator does not need to focus on tariff details. That is why Farwerck proposes to use KPN's so-called enhanced voluntary offer (VVA) that the operator unveiled in February 2018 as a counter-proposal for any new wholesale fixed regulation in the Netherlands.
