KPN sells E-Plus as Q2 revenues slide 8%

KPN announced the sale of E-Plus to Telefonica for EUR 5 billion in cash alongside its Q2 results. The Dutch incumbent has no plans to give out a special dividend, but said the sale should allow it to resume dividend payments for 2014. The operator is now guiding for operations in the Netherlands to stabilise towards 2014, E-Plus to again show service revenue growth but with a margin drop, and for capex at less than EUR 2.3 billion this year. In Q2, the Dutch operator's revenues declined by 8.1 percent to EUR 2.94 billion. Organic growth, excluding acquisitions, divestitures and one-offs,
