KPN signs up HBO for OTT video service

KPN announced a deal with HBO to offer the premium channel on the Dutch operator's upcoming Play OTT video service. KPN plans to launch this autumn Play, which will offer a range of on-demand content and live TV channels for a monthly subscription fee. It will be available to anyone with an internet connection, regardless of whether they subscribe to other KPN services, on Android and iOS mobile apps and over Chromecast for TVs. At a press conference, KPN said it has already lined up channels from the main Dutch broadcasters NPO, SBS and RTL, as well as Discovery Channel, National Geographic,
