KPN starts pilot of smart home services

KPN is introducing 'smart home' services under the name KPN Smartlife. The new offering is aimed at making life easier around the house, the Dutch operator said. The pilot launch starts with Smartlife Veilig, a security service that users sensors around the house to send alerts to the customer's smartphone app in the event of unexpected movements. Around 150 customers will be selected to test the service, and KPN expects to launch the security service to all customers this autumn. KPN is working with the security company Trigion for follow-ups to the alarm service. It's also integrating
