KPN to introduce bonded Vplus from Q2, plans fibre migration to GPON

KPN presented an update of its network strategy alongside its annual results. At a presentation, COO Joost Farwerck, CTO Tom Poelhekken and CIO Bouke Hoving outlined how the network is undergoing changes at multiple levels - core, access and IT. The aim is increased efficiency, a good customer experience and cost control. In the access network, the Dutch operator is preparing for the launch of bonded VPlus over copper and GPON on the FTTH network.
