KPN to launch new mobile internet pricing in Sept

Dutch operator KPN will introduce new mobile internet plans from 5 September, aimed at smartphone users. While the use of mobile data will get more expensive, the operator held off on introducing extra charges for applications such as VoIP and chat, after the Dutch parliament passed net neutrality legislation in response to the incumbent's earlier proposals. KPN will offer similar plans at its youth brand Hi as well, while the Telfort brand will start new pricing in early 2012. KPN said it will also limit subsidies for handsets.
