KPN to require permit for Reggefiber takeover

Thursday 15 May 2014 | 10:35 CET | News
KPN will need to request a permit from the competition regulator ACM in order to increase its stake in FTTH operator Reggefiber. The regulator said earlier in May that it planned to open an in-depth investigation of the acquisition. In a procedural announcement, the ACM said this means KPN will need to first request a permit for the deal. After its request, the regulator will have 13 weeks to decide whether the acquisition can go ahead. During that period, KPN and Reggefiber can propose concessions to support their case.
