KPN to stay under heightened surveillance til yr end - Opta

KPN will likely remain under sharpened surveillance for the rest of the year at least, regulator Opta said. KPN was placed under tightened surveillance in December 2011, following irregularities with the fixed telephony tender for the government's OT2010 contract. Opta said that the way the tender was handled was only one of the reasons KPN was put under heigtened surveillance and that there were more issues at play but that these would not be made public at this stage. KPN had been following a compliance programme, but Opta felt this was not enough. A settlement proposed earlier this year by
