KPN to work in the energy with Alliander

KPN and Dutch energy network provider Alliander will together set up a mobile telecommunications network specifically for energy networks after signing a long-term cooperation deal. Alliander will use the mobile network to manage and control energy networks. KPN will provide specific technical design and management services for the network. Alliander expects to deploy more intelligent energy grids in the coming years. These nets will have sensors which can be remotely controlled to better monitor energy flows.
