KPN unions calls for CEO to give up bonus

The unions at KPN have called on CEO Eelco Blok not to accept his bonus and for the company to invest more, including in its collective agreement. KPN's annual report for 2014 shows that Blok received a bonus of EUR 425,000 for the sale of the company's German operator E-Plus and his standard bonus doubled to around half a million euros. The unions noted that since Blok took up the CEO job in 2011, the company has shed 7,000 employees. In April 2011 KPN announced plans to cut 4,000 to 5,000 jobs by 2015, equal to 20-25 percent of its workforce. At the end of last year, the operator cut
