KPN unions to push for change in company strategy

Unions and the works council at Dutch operator KPN have criticsed the company's plans to cut another 1,500-2,000 jobs and called for a change in the group's strategy. In a joint statement, they noted that KPN has invested significant amounts in processes and systems in recent years without any substantial improvement in results, despite this being given as the reason for previous rounds of job cuts. KPN has already cut 4,650 jobs since 2011, and the new round will be implemented by 2016. The labour representatives said KPN has fallen into "Anglo-Saxon" ways with the continuous redundancies
