KPN Ventures invests in care home alarm system

KPN Ventures announced a new investment in Sensara, a Rotterdam-based developer of intelligent alarm systems for preventive care. Sensara raised in total EUR 3.8 million in the financing round, with KPN as lead investor alongside also Van Herk Ventures. Sensara combines smart sensors with self-learning software to monitor daily activities in care homes or private residences and alert caregivers to unusual situations or changes.
