KPN wants to introduce Vulas on 1 Sept

KPN NetCo will begin on 1 September to deliver internet-based Vula's (Virtual Unbundled Local Access). KPN has published the tariffs and conditions and has asked market parties to agree to them, with a shorter term than the usual two months notice. With Vula, 100 Mbps can be provided; with pair bonding, speeds can go to 200 Mbps. The signal comes from street cabinets with active equipment and not from the (MDF) neighbourhood centrals. KPN has already converted cabinets for over 2 million addresses and wants to expand its footprint in the coming quarters by another half million. The expansion
