Kroes hopes new single market rules will help Polish firms

Thursday 10 October 2013 | 13:11 CET | News
Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission with responsibility for the Digital Agenda, gave an interview to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (DGP) on the draft regulation on the single market. DGP put it to Kroes that local operators consider the proposed changes a threat to them. Kroes said that she would like to see Polish companies operating so successfully that they take over rivals in other EU countries or in the Americas, Asia and Africa and that all operators, even local ones, will have a chance to compete as European operators. This would be good for them as well as for consumers.
