Kroes sees agreement on roaming rules next month

European Commission vice president Neelis Kroes has addressed the Mobile World Congress, saying she expects the mobile industry to contribute to the EU's goals for expanded broadband access. Kroes also underlined the importance of the Radio Spectrum Policy Program just approved by the European Parliament and the Council. This will support an inventory of spectrum available in the EU, which she expects will result in at least 1200 MHz of harmonised spectrum available for wireless broadband by 2015.
