KT wins license to build autonomous vehicle cluster in Pangyo

South Korean operator KT has won a license to deploy an autonomous vehicle cluster in the district of Pangyo in Gyeonggi province, The Korea Times reports, citing a company statement. KT plans to deploy core telecom infrastructure, including 5G network and big data platforms as part of the project. Overall investments in the project are expected to reach KRW 20 billion (approximately USD 26.16 million). The autonomous vehicle cluster is scheduled for completion by end-2019.
