Kwese Sports ink rights deal for Uefa games
Econet Media's sports content platform, Kwese Sports, has signed a four-year deal with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to broadcast the UEFA Euro 2020, as well as the preceding qualifiers, in all Sub-Saharan African countries, excluding South Africa. The agreement strengthens Kwese Sports' programming line-up, giving exclusive access to over 1 000 UEFA matches free-to-air (FTA) in Africa and non-exclusive rights to broadcast on pay-tv across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kwese's broadcast rights include live matches, delayed matches, highlights and on-demand programming, as well as localised review programs to UEFA fans across Africa.

In addition to the 2020 Euro Championships, Kwese Sports will also broadcast UEFA's new tournament which pits Europe's top ranking soccer nations against each other in a new league format. The UEFA Nations League, which kicks off in 2018/2019, will add further excitement and competition to country clashes giving football fans across the continent even more reason to stay glued to Kwese screens. The sports broadcaster also has exclusive free-to-air rights to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
