Kyivstar revenues fall 6% in Q3

Revenues of Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar, part of the Vimpelcom group, declined by 6 percent year-on-year to UAH 3.2 billion in the third quarter. Mobile service revenues dropped by 4 percent to UAH 2.9 billion primarily due to lower use of voice, VAS and roaming services, and fixed revenues fell to UAH 255 million from UAH 290 million a year ago. EBITDA decreased by 14 percent to UAH 1.4 billion due to lower revenues and cost pressure resulting from increased power rates and the doubling in frequency levies. The EBITDA margin dropped by 4.1 percentage points to 45.5 percent. The
