Kyocera to buy US electronic components manufacturer AVX

Friday 21 February 2020 | 16:20 CET | News
Kyocera has agreed to buy all the shares it does not already own in AVX, for USD 21.75 per share in cash. The deal will be followed by a squeeze-out merger for any remaining shares outstanding. Kyocera already has a 72 percent stake in AVX and said the offer represents a 44.6 percent premium over AVX's closing price on 26 November, the trading day before Kyocera's initial bid.
