Labardini named interim president of Mexico's IFT

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has announced the appointment of commissioner Adriana Labardini as its interim president, replacing Gabriel Conteras whose 4-year stint ended on 10 September. In her statement, Labardini said the IFT would continue to address vital issues such as "economic competition in the digital ecosystem, the security of networks and services, the most efficient forms of spectrum allocation and use, cloud computing, platforms in the sharing economy, new satellite, fixed and mobile technologies, as well as the changing habits of consumers."
