Monday 26 August 2019 | 14:37 CET | News
The media sector was all about streaming video last week. Walt Disney made new announcements about its upcoming SVOD service Disney+, closely followed by reports on Apple's TV+ service. The TPSI Global Media index however lost 1.8 percent, against a loss of 1.4 percent for the S&P 500. The best performers included Australia's Nine Entertainment (+13%) and troubled ComScore (+12%). At the other extreme we find Spotify (-6.6%), Salem Media (-6.5%) and Lions Gate (-6.2%).
