LatAm smartphone use soars to 9 in 10 internet users

As many as 9 out 10 people connected to the internet in Latin America now have a smartphone, according to the latest report on digital consumption trends released by Comscore and IMS. The survey of smartphone and tablet users aged 15 or older in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Chile also revealed that 66 percent of smartphone users made a purchase from their devices within the past six months and that video, social media and messaging apps remain the most popular among consumers, with WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Google Maps, Instagram and Twitter topping the
